Tyrian is a computer game which was published by MegaGames in the year 1995. World Tree Games are credited with the development of this game. Tyrian 2000 which has been developed and published by XSIV games is basically a Shoot-‘Em-Up game. The game was programmed by Jason Emery.
The game is set in the year 20,031. The players in this game have to play it as Trent Hawkins who is a terraformation pilot. His job is to locate habitable places on newly terraformed planets. Planet Tyrian is the latest assignment in his hands which is situated near Hazudra.
Trent’s best friend Buce Quesillac who happens to be a Hazudra is shot in his back because of his knowledge about Gravitium. Buce informs Trent that it is for this reason that Microsol had got him shot. Microsol is a giant corporation which has full control over the terraformation of Tyrian. The intention of the Microsol is to use Gravitium which is found only in Tyrian to power their warships.
The special mineral has the capability to control gravity. Microsol also intends to finish anyone who even knows about this mineral and Trent naturally becomes their next target. Buce during his last moments pleads Trent to reach the free world of Savara. Trent somehow gets his hands on a small fighter and leaves for Savara. The game has four different episodes which are escape, Treachery, Mission and Hazudra fodder Tyrian 200 is very different from the contemporary games of shooters which have a cartoon like artwork. The game has also managed to receive great reviews and ratings from the users.
